Jeanne’s Gift: Finding Home not only describes the numerous adventures I’ve had during my journey and the marvelous encounters with the extraordinary people who helped me in so many ways. It also provides details about my research and my experiences in the archives in the US, Quebec and France that can help guide anyone doing similar genealogical research.

Finally, and perhaps more significantly, at least for me, the chapters tell the story of how the many surprising and totally unexpected twists and turns encountered during the past five years have ended up changing my life forever.
